AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
There's this strange thing happening outside, well continuing is more the appropriate word, and I am quite certain that I am enjoying it. Ever since Monday night it has been snowing. SNOWING!! Ridiculous, especially considering that here, in the middle of BFE Texas, things like this typically never happen. Ever since it began, I have had "What's This?" from Nightmare Before Christmas running non-stop through my head. I've even caught myself singing aloud and having people stare at me as if I were an escapee from the mental institution.
Of course there is a downside. Because of the lack of such exciting weather, and the fact that the majority of the population is over what I consider to be an acceptable driving age (read 70+), it is damn near impossible to even dream of getting anywhere in a decent amount of time. For whatever reason, any time the weather is not blisteringly hot people seem to think that driving anything more than 5mph is insane. Granted some caution is necessary when there is the potential for black ice and all that, but having to leave an hour early to get somewhere that normally takes ten to fifteen minutes is excruciating.
I can't wait for things to get back to normal, even though I might miss the snow.
